Local 195 Donald R. Philippi Memorial Scholarship Award
Our 2012 annual Donald R. Philippi Local 195 Scholarship is underway. We will be seeking donations from our chapters, councils and friends. Last year Local 195 was able to award one scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to a deserving student and two scholarships in the amount of $1,000.
If you would like to make a dontation, we would appreciate a check made payable and mailed to: The Local 195 Donald R. Philippi Scholarship Fund, 186 North Main Street, Milltown, NJ 08850.
Applications are mailed to chapter presidents for distribution at your chapter meetings. If you did not obtain an application at your chapter meeting, please call the Local office at 800-316-0351. For more information please contact Carol Labowicz or Deborah Spencer.
Deadline for filing is June 1, 2012.
Please note: Only chldren of Local 195, IFPTE union members are eligible. Prior college students are not eligible, nor are applicants who intend to enter a tuition-free college, or prior Local 195 Scholarship Awardees.
Winners will be notified by the Scholarship Committee. Awards will be presented at the Local 195 Picnic.
